Food quality testing laboratories play a vital role in Food Safety and Standards Act, 2006. The Quality testing laboratory is established under Primary Processing Hub cum State Resource Centre for Jackfruit funded by the Department of Agriculture Development and Farmer’s Welfare, Govt of Kerala. This laboratory carries out testing of food samples, whether processed, partially processed or unprocessed food products intended for human consumption. The laboratory has the facilities to carry out the physical, chemical, microbiological, proximate and systematic sensory analysis of the samples.
